Rift cycle
Spacetime Rifts open every 3 hours, giving eight scheduled openings per day at 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00 in the selected server clock.
The portal is available only during the first 10 minutes. The Rift lasts 60 minutes, so an active Rift can remain visible after its entry portal has closed.
When a Rift opens, the game announces it and marks the active portal on the in-game map. Use the schedule here to plan ahead, then follow the in-game announcement and map if they differ.
Time conversion
The timer stores the selected server-hour schedule, then converts each opening to your browser’s local clock when Local Time is selected. Server Time keeps the configured server clock visible for direct comparison with the game.

Los Angeles is shown at UTC−8 and London at UTC+0 for standard time. During daylight saving time, Los Angeles is UTC−7 and London is UTC+1, so their displayed opening hours move forward by one hour.
If the game clock and this countdown disagree, check the selected region, Local Time/Server Time mode, device clock and any recent service update. The in-game countdown and server announcement take priority over this timer.

FAQ
The next AION 2 Spacetime Rift depends on your selected server or region. Use the live Rift Timer above to see the countdown to the next opening in your chosen time display.
Spacetime Rifts open every three hours, producing eight scheduled openings at 00:00, 03:00, 06:00, 09:00, 12:00, 15:00, 18:00 and 21:00 in the selected server clock.
A Spacetime Rift lasts 60 minutes. The portal entry window lasts 10 minutes from the opening time, so the Rift remains active after its entry portal closes. The event countdown is separate from the portal entry countdown.
The Rift portal stays open for 10 minutes from the scheduled opening time. After that window, the timer switches to the remaining event duration and labels the portal as closed.
Spacetime Rifts do not always appear at one fixed point. They can spawn at one of several possible locations within supported regions. Known Rift areas include Verteron and Eltnen for Elyos, and Altgard and Morheim for Asmodians. When a Rift appears, the game displays a server-wide message, and the active Rift can be tracked on the in-game map. Use the Rift Locations section above to view known possible spawn points for each region.
The location list on this page includes Verteron and Eltnen for Elyos. It groups 15 possible locations under Destroyed Abyss Gate, Forest of Exiles, and Southern Altamia Highland, and 10 under Eiron Hill and Fractured Land. The tool lists areas rather than individual map coordinates or the currently active portal. Use your in-game map to locate the entrance.
Asmodian Spacetime Rifts can appear in Altgard and Morheim. Altgard currently contains 15 possible Rift locations across Moslan Forest, Root of the Sacred Tree Entrance, and Basfelt Ruins. Morheim contains 10 possible locations across Nephra Snowfield and Iralcig Highland. Use the Rift Locations section above to view the known spawn points for each area.
Yes. Rift schedules can differ between AION 2 services and regions, especially between Global, Korea, and Taiwan. The Rift Timer above uses the server you select and converts the schedule into your local timezone automatically.
The most common reasons are a different selected server, timezone conversion, daylight-saving changes, or a recent game schedule update. If the timer differs from your game, always follow the in-game Rift countdown, map notification, or server announcement first.
This tool assigns Korea UTC+9 and Taiwan UTC+8. Both currently use the same configured server-hour list, so their openings appear one hour apart when converted to a single local timezone, with Korea first.
The schedule defaults to Local Time and uses the timezone reported by your browser or device. Opening times are converted from the selected region’s configured UTC offset. Choose Server Time to view server-clock hours instead; the countdown still measures the same remaining interval. NA and Korea use UTC+9 here, Taiwan uses UTC+8, and Europe uses UTC+1. Fixed server offsets do not automatically follow daylight-saving changes.
First, select the correct server or region and check whether the page is showing Local Time or Server Time. The timer needs JavaScript and a current device clock to update every second, so refresh the page if the countdown is frozen. If the time still differs from the game, compare the selected region, UTC offset, daylight-saving setting, and the latest in-game announcement. The in-game countdown and server announcement should take priority over this timer.
Daily and weekly reset hours are service-specific. Use the reset notice in the game client for the selected service. Korea and Taiwan use different server clocks here—UTC+9 and UTC+8—so the same server-hour reset appears one hour apart in a shared local clock.
